National Museum of Roller Derby

The National Museum of Roller Derby (NMRD) will be safely housed and maintained within Glasgow Women's Library - an accredited museum currently based at The Mitchell Library, but moving to a bigger permanent home elsewhere in Glasgow later in the year.

The NMRD's collection will be based on donations of materials (such as bout programmes, merchandise, press cuttings etc.) made by skaters, fans and Roller Derby Leagues all over the country and abroad.
Uniting the "by the skaters, for the skaters" principles of Women's Flat Track Roller Derby, with Glasgow Women's Library's ethos of collective ownership, we aim to build a shared collection for the whole of the UK's Roller Derby community, which will tell the real history of how it all came to be.

Help us make history by donating your materials! If you would like to contribute materials to the NMRD's collection, this can either be done in person or by post. If you are in / near the Glasgow area, please bring your materials directly into Glasgow Women's Library, speak to the archivist and complete a Deposit Agreement.

If you are elsewhere in the UK, you may also post materials to us. Please download and print a Deposit Agreement and return a signed copy together with the items you are donating to the address below. (Please include as much detail as possible about the individual items in the 'Additional Notes' section on page 3).
Post your materials to:

National Museum of Roller Derby, c/o Glasgow Women's Library, 23 Landressy Street, Glasgow, G40 1BP
